Hello all welcome to the second round of the American muscle cup. The series sees a wide variety of muscle cars taking to track on what should be an incredibly tight series.

After major lobby issues last week race two was abandoned and points were just rewarded for the first race.

This week will hopefully see two tight races around Laguna seca..

Little bit of track info:
Quote:
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (previously known as Laguna Seca Raceway) is a paved road racing track used for both auto racing and motorcycle racing, originally constructed in 1957 near both Salinas and Monterey, California, USA.

The current racetrack is 2.238 miles (3.602 km) in length with a 180 feet (55 m) elevation change. It has eleven turns, including the famous "Corkscrew" at Turns 8 and 8A. A variety of racing, exhibition and entertainment events are held at the raceway, ranging from superkarts to American Le Mans racing to music festivals.

The name Laguna Seca is Spanish for "dry lake". The area where the track is was originally a lake. The course was originally built around the lake, which has since dried up entirely. An artificial pond has since been added.

Race details:
Date: 10/06/2012
Time: 9pm
Qualifying: 6 laps (last lap used to take times down)
Race 1: 10 laps
Race 2: 10 laps

All drivers must save their replay incase a stewards enquiry is called.

The lobby host will announce the start of the race(s) ensuring all drivers are ready. Restarts will only be announced by the HOST only

Host will post results after the event on Race night please

Qualifying:

5 laps drivers must then stop at the end of turn 1 on lap 6 for all times to be taken down.

Signing in:

Signing in for your race will be open until 8pm on race day. If you say you are a maybe this will be counted as a no so please let us know as soon as you can. We understand that in some occasions you might say you can race but are then unavailable at short notice. Please when you are able to let us know so it doesn’t count as a no show.

Please only sign up if you have the intention of racing.

SOME RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR ALL

CONNECTION ISSUES
Here is a guide to sorting out your lobbies as fast as possible when connection problems are evident.
Connection Issues - What to do - Please read
RESTARTS
Race
If a crash happens on lap 1 affecting 2 or more drivers then please call out that an accident has happened. The host will call a restart and everyone can quit to the lobby once the host confirms the restart. Quit before at your own peril.
If during the race there is an incident involving more than 4 cars the host will call a safety car period where the lead driver must slow down to a pace where the field can re-group. No overtaking is allowed during this phase but drivers may pit for new tyres (or as their mandatory pitstop). When the field is ready to restart it is down to the lead driver to decide when they break as long as its within the final sector of the lap. However No overtaking is allowed before the start of the next lap.
All drivers need to make sure they have signed the racing etiquette thread otherwise you can’t race.

Thanks and clean racing
